In December my husband John and I drove into Alicante to donate an amount of 570 euros to a cancer charity called The Asociación Española Contra Cancer. The money was handed over on behalf of the late Brian Conduit’s brother and sister in law, Ian and Jean.
Ian and Jean collected 500 euros at the time of Brian’s funeral and another 70 euros has been donated by members of the Costa Blanca Bird Club in exchange for some of Brian’s bird books. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the fund!
The photo shows me with the charity’s accountant and one of the volunteers who was very helpful, and acted as interpreter.
Brian is still very much missed by his family and friends, but we feel sure that he would have been pleased to know that this money has been collected in his memory, and that it may help other people who are affected by cancer in the future.
