INTRODUCTION
This report shows the first date that a spring migrant/summer visitor was seen in the Costa Blanca area, where it was seen, on what date and who reported the sighting. Birds are listed in order of the date they arrived.
Barry has provided most of the information in order to set up this new report. Members may wish to consult their notebooks to see if they have seen any of these birds on an earlier date. The table will be updated if someone reports the arrival of a migrant on a date that is earlier than the one shown. Members may also wish to add other species to the list.
Any member can submit a report by e-mailing me (Mary) or Malcolm, Barry or Peter who will pass the information on to me to update the website.
The previous year's dates of arrival for each species will also be shown for comparison, when I have those dates. If anyone wishes to look at their notebooks for last year's arrival dates, these can also be added to the report.
This is a new page for the website, and although it has been added a little late for this year, the arrival dates should still be of interest to members and visitors to the area. In future there will be a new report each year and this will be updated as the birds arrive.
