Audouin’s Gulls are not unusual in our area but some changes have happened in Rojales over the past 5 years with these gulls. I first noticed them in the centre of the town five years ago, up to four individuals and then each year they have increased, last year there were five pairs. Yesterday (17/05/14) I was surprised to count 22 individuals in the very centre of the town and possibly there were more along the Rio Segura. I will continue to record their progress. If anyone else has noticed Audouin’s Gulls moving into Town Centres please let us know.
