Today at Aitana plateau, plenty of Bonelli’s Warblers but not much else. Penaguila had Red billed Choughs and a Rock Sparrow. At Font de Regadiu there was a Wren in full song and lots of other more common stuff.

Yesterday afternoon four male Montagu’s Harriers. This afternoon two Montagu’s Harriers, one male, one female and an Immature, virtually unmarked Marsh Harrier hunting on the shoreline, plus Kestrel, Green Woodpecker, Spectacled Warbler, six Stone Curlew and a Little Owl.

At Rabasa, the usual site, the first Greater Short toed Larks were well in evidence.

This evening in Rojales by the Rio Segura, I saw three Spotted Flycatchers plus a Garden Warbler and a male Pied Flycatcher.
Today at about 13.30 we saw two Roseate Terns amongst the Sandwich Terns.
No sign of the Roseate Tern or any yellow billed terns at El Pinet, but a Caspian Tern (SM) was there, as were two Oystercatchers, and Brian flushed out a Pied Flycatcher. There was a Bonelli’s Warbler (SM) at Carabassi woods.
April 19th – One adult Roseate Tern (SM) sitting on an island by the car park. Two Elegant Terns (SM very rare) sitting together with 100s of Sandwich Terns. April 20th -A Long Eared Owl at La Mata.
