At long last, 2 Pied Flycatchers at the University.

Monday 17th April – La Mata visitor centre area – Whinchat.  Lemon tree road area Northern Wheatear, 30+Bee eaters and 2 Montagu’s Harriers. Thurs 21st April La Mata –  Cemetery area Sub Alpine Warbler and Wood Warbler.

A few minutes ago, on the mountain behind our house in Hondón de las Nieves, Red-necked Nightjar calling loudly.

At El Pinet yesterday-  500+ Curlew Sandpiper and a Subalpine Warbler. Today at El Honda north gate Spotted Crake, Savi’s Warbler, Spotted Redshank, Black Swan, 2+ Little Bittern and Cuckoo.

This morning, near our urbanization La Montañosa in Hondón de las Nieves, our first Orphean Warbler of the year. Sitting on a Palm tree, on a little spot for temporarily housing trees like that, and singing it´s “Blackbird” song. The … Continued

Jules reported the first Roller of the year seen on 14th April in the countryside around El Hondo.

Another Spring Migrant has arrived. A Turtle Dove seen today in the Clot.
