A GINORMOUS passage of hirundines, almost all Barn Swallows, across the Alicante mountains was going on as I headed foolishly for the Xorret, where I saw nowt (other than a singing Woodlark, a few Jays, Crossbills and Chaffinches).
Still plenty of Stone Curlew and 8 Pratincoles at Pinet. The PFT should be renamed the BFT (bird-free track) as I saw nothing but a family of Red legged Partridges.
