Went to Alcoraya (suburb of San Vicente) this morning to look for a Great Spotted Cuckoo and found three! Bad photo of 2 herewith.
At El Hondo Visitor Centre today there were scores of Red-rumped Swallows, dozens of Barn Swallows plus a few House Martins.
These Red-rumped Swallows and the Mediterranean Gull were taken from my patio in Los Urrutias yesterday. Just had my first Yellow Wagtail under the road bridge at Ramblas de Albujon.

This morning in Rojales there were 2 House Martins circling, they were alone unlike over wintering birds who are usually in the company of Crag Martins, so I think they were early arrivals.

Just seen along the Segura between Rojales and Guardamar a Long Legged Buzzard which looked like the same bird I saw at El Hondo recently.
