Juani and I went along to join the throng from AHSA and the SEO on Santa Pola Salinas on Sunday 6th October. Disappointingly few foreigners appeared, but we hopefully were able to do some recruiting – and 23 of us repaired to faithful Tano’s for an excellent lunch. During the morning we counted some 37 Spoonbill, and had several groups of Glossy Ibis fly over. To assist their invaluable conservation work, I would like to urge all members (and non members) to sign up with AHSA, and, if possible, with the SEO. Both bodies have programmes of outings – and it will help with your Spanish!
