First day out birding this week, on our usual trip. Species seen included – Hoopoe, Little Owl, Iberian Grey Shrike, Magpie, Kestrel, Spoonbill (on the salinas) Grey Heron on the canal wall, Buzzard, Marsh Harrier, Booted Eagle, Green Sandpiper (down the alley) Wood Sandpiper, Blackcap, Sardinian Warbler, Little Ringed Plover, Black Redstart, Bluethroat, Penduline Tit, Chiffchaff, White Wagtail, 30+ Glossy Ibis (circling around Lo Chichara), Blackbird, 35+ Black Tailed Godwit, BW Stilts and Flamingo all on the right side of the salinas.
