El Hondo Fields – Greta Owen

A lovely warm sunny day today to go birding (24.5 degrees). First was our trip to pallet road, where we saw Iberian Green Woodpecker, Booted Eagle, Chiffchaff, Robin, Blackbird, Little Owl, Red Legged Partridge. On then to monastery road, another Green Woodpecker, Blue Rock Thrush and Buzzard. Next on to the track that runs parallel to PFT, another raptor but not sure which, a large flock of Stone Curlew, probably 15 in total, Crested Lark, Iberian Grey Shrike, Kestrel. Not a lot along PFT except Mr. fox, he didn’t stay around long after he spotted us.
