El Hondo/Santa Pola – Greta Owen

Our usual Sunday route – Magpie, Robin, Blackbird, Chiffchaff, Chaffinch and what I think was a Song Thrush. 400+ Starlings on the overhead wires at Monastery road.

White Wagtail, Hoopoe, Booted Eagle, 3 Southern Grey Shrike, 2 Little Owl, several Kestrel, Blue Rock Thrush, Black Redstart, three flocks of Glossy Ibis, 5 Buzzard, Marsh Harrier, Bluethroat, Moorhen, a field of Lapwing and 26 Cranes flew over.

Sardininan Warbler, Crag Martins, Goldfinch, Kingfisher, Great Tit, Great White Egret, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Black winged Stilt, Avocet, Green Sandpiper and a few small waders, about the size of Stint. A Red Breasted Merganser was on Playa Carrabassi.
