A few short trips out this week have found us the following birds:-
1st December – El Pinet – Dunlin, Little Stint, Sanderling, Common Sandpiper, Redshank, Greenshank, Black winged Stilt, Little Egret.
2nd December – Little Reserve Track, Palm Farm Track, Vistabella Road – Booted Eagle, Buzzard, Kestrel, Kingfishers, Stonechat, Bluethroat, Chiffchaff, Cranes. The Cranes were along the PFT and consisted of 6 adults and 2 young birds. Unfortunately, we did not see the Black Shouldered Kite which was seen yesterday by Paul and Linda.
3rd December – El Clot – Black Redstart, Robin, Southern Grey Shrike, Hoopoe, Chiffchaff, Cetti’s Warbler (HO), Teal Shoveler, Coot, Moorhen, Purple Swamphen, Grey Wagtail, White Wagtail.
