England – January 2016

It’s been a long while since I wrote in this blog, mainly because we were in England for most of January and the only birds we saw were in our garden in Wolverhampton. We had a daily visit from a Robin, often joined by Blue Tits, and House Sparrows and occasionally a Great Tit. Woodpigeons, Crows and Magpies were common visitors and numerous Blackbirds were seen gorging themselves on next door’s windfall apples. A Wren and a Buzzard were nice additions and various gulls were often seen flying over.

A visit to my sister’s house in Worcester allowed me to add Long tailed Tit to my list, seen in her garden, and also Grey Wagtail seen down by the River Severn in Worcester.
