Monnegre – Mark Etheridge

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

An Eagletastic day at Monnegre! Trevor, Bryan and myself went up the valley, and had a splendid 20 minutes or so watching Bonelli’s Eagle, in the sky at the same time as a Golden Eagle! It has to be said, though, that the rest of the trip was slightly disappointing with the lack of small birds about, but we did see Black Wheatear, Nightingale, Rock Sparrow, Red-rumped Swallow and Great, Crested and Coal Tits. Trevor has one last chance of a hurrah tomorrow, but we are pleased to say he has noted more than 100 species during his stay.
