Red footed Falcon seen near El Clot

Jan Beever sent this information to Malcolm on Monday 11th May – Don’t know if you still like to submit records but there was a male Red Footed Falcon (SPRING MIGRANT) this morning around10am at Gran Alacant sitting on a telephone wire beside the N332.

We’ve been in Spain 3 weeks but I’ve had little time to go birding. I did look for Rufous Bush Robin on 8th at usual place near Clot de Galvany along the coast but no luck. Maybe a little early?

Anyway, we left Playa Flamenca this morning to start our long drive back to England and the Falcon was a kilometre or so north of that garage exit where you turn off for the Clot and before the tunnel that says El Altet on the left of the road.
