Sacred Ibis at Pego Marsh – Nigel Bentley

I have been send this photo of a Sacred Ibis by John Palmer, taken Saturday 10th, at Pego Marsh. I believe there are breeding populations in Europe, especially the colony on an island in the estuary of the River Loire, France, although there was supposed to be a cull there a few years ago. This species is reported to be quite mobile, so perhaps this bird at Pego has come down from France, Whatever the case, it’s a nice bird which members might want to try to see.
