Spent the last couple of afternoons at the Santa Agueda platforms hoping for the arrival of the Greater Spotted Eagle, Tönn. Yesterday was a ‘no show’ as he roosted near Alcoi overnight. Tried again today and he eventually showed up a little after 2pm. He got immediately mobbed by two angry Buzzards and then was escorted north by a Marsh Harrier. I did manage to get better views through my scope and could see the transmitter on his back. The platforms are currently undergoing some much needed repair work but access is ok for now at least.
