Villena – Malcolm Palmer

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

Thanks to Gareth’s good services behind the wheel, not to mention tea and cake provided by my other two hosts, the Villena area yielded two fine Short-toed Eagles, Greater Short-toed and Calandra Larks, a big party of Chough, Ravens, and Tawny Pipit. The Sierra de Salinas gave us plenty of singing Woodlark, a nice Bonelli’s Warbler, Goshawk, Mistle Thrush and Rock Bunting.
