At the Cabo de Santa Pola there had been a considerable arrival of Turtle Doves and there were lots of Pied Flycatchers. Not a lot else to be seen, but a Curlew was unexpected at Vistabella.

Today at Aitana plateau, plenty of Bonelli’s Warblers but not much else. Penaguila had Red billed Choughs and a Rock Sparrow. At Font de Regadiu there was a Wren in full song and lots of other more common stuff.

Yesterday afternoon four male Montagu’s Harriers. This afternoon two Montagu’s Harriers, one male, one female and an Immature, virtually unmarked Marsh Harrier hunting on the shoreline, plus Kestrel, Green Woodpecker, Spectacled Warbler, six Stone Curlew and a Little Owl.

This evening in Rojales by the Rio Segura, I saw three Spotted Flycatchers plus a Garden Warbler and a male Pied Flycatcher.
