Belvide Reservoir
Me at Belvide Reservoir

Today we managed a morning out at Belvide Reservoir where our best birds were four Common Scoter dozing on the water.

Other birds seen were as follows:- Mute Swan, Canada Goose, Mallard, Shoveler, Tufted Duck, Goldeneye, Common Scoter, Pheasant, Buzzard, Great Crested Grebe, Buzzard, Kestel, Moorhen, Coot, Oystercatcher, Woodpigeon, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Swallow, Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Chiffchaff, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Nuthatch, Magpie, Crow, Tree Sparrow, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Reed Bunting.

Note the birding attire for UK weather conditions! It wasn’t too cold actually compared to recent days but I still needed a warm coat, hat, scarf, gloves and wellies. Off to Wales next week so looking forward to that. Can’t wait to get back to Spain to see all those lovely migrants which seem to be arriving daily.
