We have received some information about photography hides available for hire at Pego Marshes and Calpe Salinas. The information is from a company called Birdwatching Spain is shown below:-
We have currently 2 hides in Alicante province. There is one in Pego Marshes (for 2 people) and it is available from February to October (when there is no hunting). Currently in winter, the hide works very well with Marsh Harriers. They come down more than 90% of the times. This hide is also very interesting for Kingfishers, Purple Sawamp-hen, Moustached Warbler and in spring-summer for waders, Egrets , Herons and Warblers.
The price is 100 €/person; 2 people 80 €/person. The CBBC members will have a 10% during 2015.
Price for members 90€/person. 2 people 72 €/person
The second hide is located in the salt pans of Calpe. It is also for 2 people and is particularly interesting for photographing Greater Flamingos and waders.
