2nd and 5th June
A couple of new birds were added to my year list just before we left Spain, including Turtle Dove (heard only) in the Carabassi woods while looking for, but not finding a Rufous Bush Robin on the 2nd. I know that Bryan Thomas and Mark Etheridge have seen and photographed the bird this week (around 16th June). The other bird we added was a Red necked Nightjar (heard only) on the road to the Santa Pola Lighthouse on June 5th. We are now back in England so we hope to do a bit of UK birding during the Summer.
