Overnight rain has brought a marked increase in migrants at the University, but nothing extraordinary. At least three times as many Blackbirds as usual, several Spotted Flycatchers, at least three Pied Flycatchers and a Nightingale. Bee Eaters again overflew.
At the University, there had been an obvious arrival of Spotted Flycatchers – on my regular walk, where I normally see one or two, I counted 12. Bee Eaters called overhead for the third day running.
