Today at the reserve centre a Pectoral Sandpiper at the Reserve Centre, we had 2 Marsh Sandpipers, 2 Temminck’s Stints. adult + young Red-knobbed Coot, 2+Ruff, and Greenshank.

This morning at San Felipe Visitor centre:- 10 Curlew Sandpipers (most in really good plumage), 1 Marsh Sandpiper, 6 Ringed Plover, 2 Marbled Duck The waders were all on the almost dried-out ‘furthest lagoon’ – telescope job!

Today I walked along the Rio Segura in Rojales for 40 mins with our dog and saw the following:- Cirl Bunting, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, Melodious Warbler, Great Reed Warbler, Reed Warbler, Fan Tailed Warbler etc.    

Today along the Palm Farm Road by the canal where the Green Sandpipers fly from – a male Red Footed Falcon was sitting on the wires, it flew off several times but returned to the wires with food.

A few of the sightings Malcolm and myself had on May 13th at Aitana – Garden Warbler, Bonellis Warbler, several Melodious Warblers, Woodlark.
