Crevillente

Today we took a brief trip up to the canyon behind Crevillente to try to see the Bonelli’s Eagles that nest there. Mission accomplished within 5 seconds as I spotted one of the birds perched on the cliffs before I even got out of the car. We also saw the nest with the second adult bird and what was presumably this year’s youngster. We also added a Woodchat Shrike and an Alpine Swift to this year’s list. Not sure why we haven’t seen a Woodchat Shrike yet this year but at least we have ‘got one’ now! Not great photos but the birds are a bit far away!
