I was just in Santa Pola due to some work and took a few days off to visit El Clot de Galvany and the sierras just to the north of the city. I have seen the following birds at El Clot: Iberian Green Woodpecker, Hoopoe, Marbled teal, Marsh Harrier, Juvenile Flamingo, Kestrel, possible Booted Eagle and lots of white herons, lots of Shovelers, Little Bittern, Kingfisher.
I have also seen in the sierras today: Kestrels, Red-legged Partridges, Quail.
