El Hondo and it’s environs today. Absolutely super. Highlights as follows…
Vistabella Road – Woodchat Shrike, Little Bittern, Common Cuckoo, Night Heron, White-headed Duck, Marsh Harrier.
San Felipe – Collared Pratincole, Squacco Heron, Green Sandpiper, Marbled Duck, Red-knobbed Coot, Whiskered Tern.
North of reserve – Great Spotted Cuckoo (on goalposts), Iberian Grey Shrike, Roller.
Monastery Area – Great Spotted Cuckoo, Iberian Grey Shrike, Roller, Turtle Dove.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. A fantastic trip!
