El Hondo fields – Greta Owen

Within a few metres of arriving at pallet road there was four Little Owl perched on some fencing, as they were in very close vicinity of each other I assumed they were a family. They weren’t the only ones as we saw more further on. A day for Red-legged Partridge and Hoopoe, Little Egret, Glossy Ibis, two Roller, a Bee-eater trying to digest its catch. A lovely Sardinian Warbler on the wires singing away. Fabulous views of a male Hen Harrier flying over the corn fields at PFT and a Buzzard down the road towards Vistabella road.
