El Hondo Fields – Greta Owen

This morning on our local round trip. Firstly at pallet road, Iberian Grey Shrike, Booted Eagle, Kestrel, White Wagtail, Red Legged Partridge, Robin, Sardinian Warbler, Hoopoe, Greenfinch, Stonechat, Common Starling, on round then to monastery road, Little Owl and not a lot else there. To PFT a field with several Crested Lark, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Black Redstart, Blue Rock Thrush. a puddle with a few Chaffinch having a bath until a Kestrel disturbed them. On the way back along camino Santa Fe, a flooded field with lots of Glossy Ibis and more Egrets, then we had a beautiful sighting of an Osprey as it flew over the road.
