El Hondo – Mark Etheridge

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

Went to El Hondo this morning with Bryan. Some good birds seen but not as many as we had hoped. We saw Bluethroat, Glossy Ibis, Western Swamphen, Penduline Tit, Reed Warbler, Marsh Harriers, Green Sandpiper, Swallow, Spoonbill and the usual lagoon birds. In the late afternoon, we went down to the Clot in search of Wrynecks, there were at least three birds calling and we got sight of one. Finished the day at the scrape where the female Kingfisher put on the usual display!
