Saw and photographed a very showy Cuckoo on the way. On the outskirts of El Hondo encountered a Roller, whilst at the Old Monastery I saw a swarm of Bee-eaters. None of that satisfied me because my client was missing, so I spent an hour of running and riding nonstop all over that place. Eventually I found it. The client was sitting with its second half in a small bush, and both were very showy, giving me great views and images. These Great Spotted Cuckoos were remarkably showy for a Cuckoo, I thought. A Woodchat Shrike flew alongside me for some time as I was leaving.
