My friend visited from the UK for a 3 day birding bash. We started at Guadalentin and Sierra Espuna. The Golden Eagle was on the pylon again and Spanish Sparrows were present. At Sierra Espuna just one Ring Ouzel was seen, plus Crested Tit, Firecrests and Short-toed Treecreepers.
At Yelca we had 38 Great Bustards and two distant Golden Eagles. There were flocks of Calandra Larks also Crested and Thekla Larks, Meadow Pipit and Skylarks. A Chough was in a flock of Jackdaws and Black Wheatear was also seen.
On the last morning we visited El Hondo finishing with a Bluethroat a total of 103 different birds seen.
