Yesterday I headed to Guadalentin again. It was a hot day, 35C by midday but even hotter for birds. Arriving at 8am I drove around, not much to see, though. A Little Owl, Bee-eaters, and 2 Lesser Kestrels. I then headed down to Ganuelas, trying to photograph Golden Orioles. I heard some first then 3 flew away, sadly. Back to Guadalentin, and I was trying to take pictures of Bee-eaters, there were dozens of them, when I saw a large raptor in the sky. I moved swifty on to the area to find two Golden Eagles on the pylons by the Lesser Kestrel hide. I drove along to the nearest one. Just one picture then it flew right past my car.
