Palm Farm Track, Vistabella, Santa Agueda – Edward (Ted) Humphreys

A dawn visit to La Finca golf course but unable to trace the Night Herons from last night. There were about 100 Bee eaters still on the wires on the palm farm track but they moved off late morning. A nice Booted Eagle was disturbed from palms next to the farm and landed on a power line adjacent. 3 Squacco Herons in the water course between El Hondo and Santa Agueda just off Vistabella road.

2 large groups of Glossy Ibis flew over me here with 30 in one group and possibly 50 in the other. A juvenile Woodchat Shrike was on the wires over the lane leading in to Santa Agueda. On the return trip along the palm farm track there were between 30 and40 Yellow Wagtails feeding amidst swarms of midges.
