A very pleasant couple of hours was spent in warm morning sunshine at the Nature Reserve. As usual, there were plenty of Stonechat and Black Redstart flitting about but the main interest was on a small area of mud where Dunlin were accompanied by 2 Little Stint, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, Kentish Plover, Ringed Plover and Redshank. 3 Grey Plover sat on the shingle.
Later in the day a visit to the Old Monastery ruins north of the San Fulgencio urbanisation revealed a Little Owl, Iberian Grey Shrike and a flock of at least 30 Tree Sparrow.
