Today went out to see Montagu’s Harrier again. Counted 12-14 birds in the La Mata and Torrevieja area, including up to four definite pairs. Other things included three Swallowtail butterflies, a Stone Curlew, a Great Spotted Cuckoo, walking through a swarm of bees (and emerging unscathed), a pair of Booted Eagles, and also an enormous snake moving sluggishly near a viewpoint.
