Maigmo, Monnegre, Crevillente – Geoff Culliford

On Monday three of us set off for Maigmo, Monnegre and Crevillente. At the bottom of Maigmo we found Little Owl, Cirl Bunting, Woodlark, and then a Short-toed Eagle drifted over in the distance.

At Tibi we had a pair of Griffon Vultures, and furtger on we saw a Golden Eagle, a pair of Black Wheatears and a Black-eared Wheatear was showing well. A pair of Spotted Flycatchers were found nearby.

At the Trumpeter Finch site, none were seen but we did spot a pair of Bonellis Eagles, Blue Rock Thrush and Rock Bunting.

At Crevillent there was another Bonelli’s Eagle being mobbed by a Chough, Alpine Swift and Pied Flycatchers.
