At first light a group of 19 Glossy Ibis were seen flying over Ramblas del Albujon. This wonderful Woodchat Shrike was spotted just west of La Manga Golf Resort this morning. My first for the summer. Maybe it’s just arrived after it’s long flight from Africa – got to love this time of year! Two Red-billed Chough and a Little Owl were also seen from my walk near the Bateria de Cenizas. My first Common Swift of the year was seen high over the reedbed today at Los Nietos. Also spotted was this dapper male Ruff, 2 Redshank and all three usual plover species.
