On Wednesday we headed to the small gorge near Aledo. On arrival at the car park we first saw Crested Larks before heading into the gorge where a group of about ten Chough were making quite a racket! We enjoyed a walk along the gorge in both directions before heading back up to the top of the gorge again.

Species list – Red billed Chough, Crested Tit, Serin,  Kestrel, Jackdaw, Chiffchaff, Jay,  Buzzard, Crested Lark.

During a couple of walks in the grounds and around the hotel we saw a few more species in a very beautiful setting, namely, Chaffinch, Serin, Black Redstart, Kestrel, Blackbird, Crossbill and two raptors which we were fairly sure were Golden Eagles.
