Mary’s Blog – Gran Alacant cliffs

posted in: Mary's Blog | 0

Today we had a quiet day with a nice lunch out at Urbanova. On our way back we drove up to the Gran Alacant cliffs near the lighthouse. We parked a little way along the road and walked across the open ground where we found our first target bird, a Black Wheatear, two in fact, which were not on the cliffs as expected, but were in the fenced off compound near the rubbish tip.

After admiring the view at the cliffs we walked back along the road seeing target bird number two, a Blue Rock Thrush, which was on the roof of a house. Not bad for a non birding day!
