Since moving here I have been adding a new bird to me year list nearly every week. New birds so far are; Golden Plover, Knot, Purple Sandpiper, Red Grouse, Whooper Swan, Bewick’s Swan and yesterday at RSPB Salthome (not in Northumberland but not far away) a stunning Short eared Owl, a lifer for us!
