Mary’s Blog – Tibi, Maigmo and Alcoy

Today we had a trip inland firstly having a look at Tibi where a Raven flew over before we had a coffee break. Moving on to Maigmo we sat in the car as it was very cold up there! We ate our lunch and put a bit of bread on a picnic table and waited. Eventually our patience was rewarded when a couple of Crested Tits arrived and spent about ten minutes eating all the bread. A Short toed Treecreeper also showed up on the trunk of a nearby tree.

Later we headed over the Alcoy to see if we could see a Griffon Vulture. We walked a little way up the track to the feeding station and soon spotted a Griffon in the air, with another four being seen along with two Buzzards.
