Great Spotted Cuckoo at the Old Monastery… It all began when I was trying to get photos of a Hoopoe pair. As I tried to put the sun behind me, two birds hurtled practically overhead. A Great Spotted Cuckoo pair. Although I missed the best moment, I still managed to get a few photos of this dogfight before they flew off. A short while later, I found one of them in the scrubland. The views they provided were incredible. Additionally, a very cute Iberian green frog was located in a reservoir nearby.
