Pallet Road, Monastery and PFT area – Greta Owen

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

Green Woodpecker (HO) at pallet road and we saw the usual Red-legged Partridge. Booted Eagle and Buzzard over monastery road. When we reached the bridge on the parallel track we saw two Black Stork and three Grey Heron on the canal wall but the Stork immediately flew away. A Marsh Harrier was circling the track. Two large flocks of Glossy Ibis flew over PFT as did a small flock of Lapwing and hundreds of Starling. The best place today was Lo Chichara, not a lot of water but enough for a few of the small waders.
