Pallet Road, Monastery, PFT – Greta Owen

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

On our route earlier this morning, only one Little Owl at pallet road, then not much else until we got to the monastery road. There we had, for the first time this year, the Roller. While I was photographing the Roller, a pair of Great Spotted Cuckoo flew past.

On through the parallel track to PFT, there we had a Buzzard and a Booted Eagle, both in flight and another first for this year, a Purple Heron, which flew and landed on the track in front of the car. Coming back up through monastery road a beautiful Woodchat Shrike sat on the top of a cigarette tree.
