Pego Marsh – Nigel and Sue Bentley

posted in: Sightings | 0

A trip to Pego Marsh this morning revealed that all the fields were dry and so were rather lacking in marsh species. However, it was nice to see a group of 10 Gull-billed Tern , 3 Yellow Wagtail (all the iberiae subspecies), 1 Little Ringed Plover plus 1 female Marsh Harrier, 1 Zitting Cisticola, 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Grey Heron plus many Little Egret sitting in a ploughed field. A Cetti’s Warbler was also heard.
