Petrola/Corral Rubio – Gleb Berloff

We drove out to Corral Rubio and just outside Bonete, I saw an enormous, jet-black eagle soaring above the fields. It reminded me of the Golden Eagles we saw yesterday, but the tail was much shorter, leading me to believe this could have been a Spanish Imperial Eagle. We went to Corra Rubio, where we saw the Great Bustards. Everyone got a good look in the telescope, though my images were messed up by the heat haze! In short, a lovely two days of birdwatching.
