An often asked question from new members is “how big is a Booted Eagle“. As there are more types of eagle in Spain than in the UK, I once studied four field guides and sized some of the more commonly seen eagles. I then included some other species that we see here (who has got too much time on his hands!) for comparison. The results are attached below.
Apart from the obvious comparison of wingspans, it is worth noting the variation between the different field guides. They are what they say, a guide, not an absolute guarantee of size.
