Wednesday 25th March – Just had 2 Sand Martins from my balcony and also heard my first Cuckoo of the year.

It rained until about 4pm today and then from 4.30 to 5 the sun came out and I had a magic half hour birding from my balcony. 6 Alpine Swifts 2 Pallid Swifts, good numbers of House Martins and Barn Swallows 1 Yellow Wagtail, also Glossy Ibis and a male Blue Rock Thrush, Kestrel, Hoopoe Cattle Egrets etc.

I’m now up to 43 species since lockdown on the 16th March.
