Salinas, San Felipe – Malcolm Palmer

Water, water, everywhere! And lots of it. You can’t get to the Vistabella hide without a boat. Black Terns fed over the Salinas in small numbers. Cuckoo flew over the road at Vistabella. Rollers are now present in the palms North of Hondo. At the Visitor Centre, lots of Whiskered Terns and at least a dozen Squacco Herons . Red Knobbed Coots building a nest right beside the boardwalk. On the furthest lagoon, a drake White-headed Duck was unusual.
